Who we are

Hardwave Studios ("we") operates Hardwave Hall. The data controller is Hardwave Studios, the Netherlands.

Data we collect

• Account: email, display name, avatar (synced from hardwavestudios.com)
• Profile: bio, pronouns, genres, gear, links you add
• Content: messages, audio, attachments you post in servers and DMs
• Server membership: which servers and channels you belong to
• Device: push tokens (APNs/FCM/Web Push) for notifications you opt into
• Technical: IP address, user agent, request logs (retained 30 days)
• Payments: minimal metadata for tips/subscriptions; full payment data is held

by Stripe and never reaches our servers

Why we use it

• Operating the Service (delivering messages, audio, voice)
• Sending notifications you have enabled
• Preventing abuse (rate limits, audit logs)
• Processing payments (via Stripe)

Legal bases (GDPR)

• Performance of contract: account, content, delivery
• Legitimate interest: abuse prevention, basic analytics
• Consent: notifications, optional analytics

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share with:

• Stripe (payments)
• Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications you

enable)

• Server providers strictly for hosting (Hetzner)

Storage and retention

• EU-based servers (Hetzner)
• Content kept until you delete it or your account
• Backups retained for 30 days, then purged

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

• Access — request a copy of your data (Settings → Privacy → Export Data)
• Delete — delete your account (Settings → Privacy → Delete Account)
• Object / Restrict — email privacy@hardwavestudios.com
• Portability — included in Export Data

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will notify users of material changes by in-app banner and email.
